Acapulco’s sustainable tourism programme is documented through sustainable tourism certification assessed in line with GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourism Council) standards. The certification demonstrates that work across environmental responsibility, support for the local economy, protection of cultural heritage and sustainable management is evaluated against internationally recognised criteria.

Tarsan Farm sits at the heart of the Nature World’s journey to the table. From seasonal fruit and vegetables to dairy products and baked goods, some products are grown or prepared at the farm before becoming flavours served across Acapulco’s buffets and restaurants. This approach supports freshness and allows menus to move with nature’s rhythm.

Responsibility is also visible in energy and water management. A substantial share of the electricity used by the hotel is generated by its own solar power plants; seawater is made suitable for use through advanced filtration systems, and treated wastewater is reused to irrigate landscaped areas. Current results are shared transparently in the annual sustainability report.

Partnerships with local and women producers strengthen the social dimension of the Nature World. Every product featured in the kitchens and open buffet carries local knowledge, the producer’s labour and the continuity of the regional economy to the Acapulco table.
